Stephen is an illustrator based in Queens, New York. In 2014 he was a Semi-Finalist for the Tomie dePaola Mentorship Award, and in 2017 the First Runner-up, having illustrated eleven books for small independent publishers.

Stephen doesn't have a favorite color and can't draw a straight line even with a ruler (so he says). He enjoys working in traditional mediums such as pen and ink or watercolor. Recently, Stephen started experimenting with watercolor pencils and walnut ink, other colored inks.
